Zero Media Hosting Architecture
Downzo does not host, store, replicate, or broadcast any video, photo, or audio media on our servers. All media items resolved by our service reside exclusively on third-party servers (such as Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Reddit, or Snapchat) and are delivered directly from their public CDNs to the user's browser.
1. Overview & Statutory Framework
Downzo operates in full compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (17 U.S.C. § 512). It is our policy to respond expeditiously to clear, valid notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with Title II of the DMCA.
As a client-side facilitation utility, Downzo functions strictly as a tool allowing end users to download publicly accessible content for personal archival and offline viewing purposes under established Fair Use principles. We do not index, search, catalog, or maintain an archive of downloaded content.
2. Submitting a Takedown Notification (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3))
If you are a copyright owner or an authorized agent acting on behalf of one, and you believe that any material processed or referenced by Downzo infringes your copyrighted work, please submit a written notification containing the following mandatory elements:
- Authorized Signature: A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of Copyrighted Work: Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or if multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
- Identification of Infringing Material: Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including the specific URL or direct link so that we can verify and block resolution.
- Contact Information: Information reasonably sufficient to permit Downzo to contact you, such as your full legal name, physical mailing address, telephone number, and valid email address.
- Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Perjury Clause: A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

4. Counter-Notification Procedure (17 U.S.C. § 512(g))
If you believe that your content was removed or access was disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification in writing to our Designated Agent containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or to which access was disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with Section 512(i)(1)(A) of the DMCA, Downzo maintains an operational policy that provides for the termination and blocking of access to our service for users or automated scrapers that are confirmed to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.
